Curvy Girls, a support group for girls with scoliosis, is holding its fourth bi-annual convention July 8-10 at the Hyatt Regency Long Island, NY.
Boston Orthotics & Prosthetics is an EnCourage sponsor of the event, and three members of the Boston O&P team will attend the event: Jim Wynne, CPO, Vice President and Director of Education; Steve Slawinski, CO, Clinic Director of Voorhees; and Katrina Cook, CFo, Philadelphia clinic.
Jim will make a presentation about what to expect after a diagnosis of scoliosis, and what questions parents and patients should be asking.
The convention will also include workshops on scoliosis-related topics including emerging science and guidelines for effective care on scoliosis, as well as a fashion show.
