Boston Orthotics & Prosthetics has launched a new employee education initiative to promote the pursuit of a continuous learning culture among its employees. Effective immediately, all Boston O&P team members now have full access to LinkedIn Learning.
LinkedIn Learning is an online training and education platform offering more than 16,000 video courses taught by industry experts in business, creative, and technology skills.
“Over the past couple years, we have emphasized employee stock ownership and the Lean culture as the two key foundational elements to help us achieve our vision and mission.” said Tom Morrissey, President and CEO of Boston O&P. “With the addition of LinkedIn Learning, we would like to add the ability to be ‘lifelong learners’ to that foundation.”
All Boston O&P team members are being encouraged to sign up for LinkedIn Learning. Team leaders will work with everyone to identify courses to supplement their existing skill sets and to ensure they have adequate time allocated to take the courses during work hours.
Since 2006, Boston O&P has embraced Lean practices in an effort to continuously improve the entire patient care cycle and being open to learning more each day. Having full access to LinkedIn Learning will help Boston O&P team members continue to build their knowledge and learn new skills that will improve both internal business and manufacturing operations and the care Boston O&P offers its patients.
