Boston O&P's Steve Slawinski Honored with Two Distinctions from AAOP

Steve Slawinski, CO, Director of Boston O&P’s Cranial program and Clinic Director of the Boston O&P clinic in Voorhees, NJ, has recently been honored with two different accolades from the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP).

At the 48th Annual Meeting & Scientific Symposium in March, Steve will be officially inducted as a Fellow of the Academy, a distinction that is earned by those with a demonstrated commitment to mastering their profession through sustained educational pursuits and a proven track record of service to both their community and the O&P profession.

Steve was also appointed vice-chair of the AAOP’s Craniofacial Society starting in 2022. The Craniofacial Society is responsible for case studies, research, and content for various publications and the Craniofacial organized session at the Academy meeting, as well as providing general support for all members.

“Steve is an incredibly valuable member of the Boston O&P team. It is gratifying to see his dedication and expertise recognized by the AAOP,” said Tom Morrissey, Boston O&P President and CEO. “Steve has played significant roles in developing our scoliosis program and leading our efforts to develop the only cranial program in the industry that focuses both on prevention and treatment. We look forward to seeing what his collaboration with AAOP brings.”
